Money Associations

A Stored Value System to serve as backbone of the Money Association platform. The movement of money in and out of the Money Association platform is modelled as general ledger transactions. Debtor accounts are used to track debt balances, interest, service fees and re-payments.

The Stored Value System is a centralised component that can be accessed as a service via a web front end as well as by automated transactions in the background. Services include loan creation, loan repayment, service fees and daily compound interest. A related set of services deals with processing of bank statements in order to record deposits and withdrawals.

The purpose of the platform is to bring investors and borrowers together and provide borrowers with a means to secure a loan, where the loan account has a grading that determines the interest that is paid (market rate), a risk profile with credit grading, insurance and a management portion that is configurable.

Additionally the platform has an administration area that allows Money Associations to moderate, view, access and report on organisations, users, loans, exceptions and defaults.

The front end application allows investors to view their online holding account and a list of debtor accounts where they have made investments. Each investor is able to click on their holding account and view a mini statement of their recent activity on the account. When clicking on a debtor account (with whom they have an investment), they can view the outstanding balance of their investment.
